3D reconstruction of uneven-aged forest in single tree scale using digital camera and SfM-MVS technique

Abstract
This study highlights the potential of hand-held digital cameras and SFM-MVS to produce a 3D reconstruction of individual trees at the single tree level in a deciduous and uneven-aged forest (faculty of natural resource, Tarbiat Modares University-area with about 2400 m2 and 35 trees). A high coefficient of the determinant (R2 = 98%) was observed between DBH derived from both filed measurements and the SfM-MVS technique. The percentage of the coefficient of variation of the root mean square error (CV(RMSE)%) and Bias of the technique to estimate DBH of the trees were 5.66% and −0.09%, respectively. The technique demonstrated a good linear relationship between the estimated tree height via field measurement and SfM-MVS (R2 = 89%),
Materials and Methods: In this study we used Analytic Network Process (ANP) to Priority of Supplying Wood Material in Wood Factories. In Mazandaran Wood and Paper factory, the wood materials are supplied through four methods, include forest, ligniculture (wood farming), wood importation and purchase wood from local markets. Forest soil conditions can be affected by ground-based harvesting; the degree of impact depends upon management factors, location of stands, soil, and topographical conditions. The present study predicted the area and extent of the disturbance of forest soil using soil data collected from 39 ground-based working areas. Abstract
Reliable and accurate earthwork calculation is one of the most important components in road engineering that can influence the construction cost and road alignment choice. In this research, the method of ground penetrating radar (GPR) was applied to detect the subsoil rock share in forest road construction. The GPR data acquisition was carried out using a 250 MHz GPR antenna along 22 segments on the centerline and 12 meters across to the road project.
