Dr. Hassan Danaeifard, professor of government management department (Economics and Management faculty), and Dr. Isa Yavari, professor of prganic chemistry department (Basic Sciences faculty), won the "Allameh Tabatabai" award for country distinguished professors and scholars.
During the fifth Allameh Tabatabai Prize for excellent professors and distinguished researchers of the country, which was held with the participation of the Vice President of Science and Technology and head of the National Elite Foundation, 19 outstanding professors were nominated and honored.
The objectives envisaged of the AT Awards are to foster progress toward a cultural-scientific movement in the future. They are as follows:
1. Recognise, encourage and award students who excel academically in various sciences
2. Guide talented students scientifically, pedagogically and professionally in order to continue pursuing excellence where they can discover their full potential
3. Support scientific projects that are beneficial to the prosperity and salvation of the mankind

5. Acknowledge and award outstanding scholars, scientists, teachers and mentors
