This discipline includes various branches of criminal science, including criminal law sciences, empirical criminal science, criminal policy and criminal philosophy.

L.L.M in Intellectual Property law In 2003, as a first university in Iran, the University of Tarbiat Modares started to offer master program of Intellectual property as a minor of Private law. In 2008, it became an independent Group and from that time, the University of Tarbiat Modares , offers L.LM in Intellectual property as an independent master program. Department of law has accepted about 100 students at L.L.M of intellectual Property law. More than 60 students successfully completed the program.

International law, as a branch of the science of law, is gradually moving from being unilateral and coercive to becoming a common language of the international and global community. The world has come to realize that in order to avoid the historical sufferings and hardships that have caused significant loss of life, wealth, and dignity, everyone's behavior in all areas, including the realm of war and conflict, must be bound by legal rules and norms. These rules and norms can have roots and sources in domestic, regional, or international law. The identification, provision, explanation, scientific interpretation, and categorization of these rules are primarily the responsibility of scientific and academic institutions, and in subsequent stages, the responsibility of others, including judges and arbitrators.

TMU department of private law admits students at master and doctoral levels. The master programs aim to provide deeper understanding and general knowledge in key issues of private law. The master program intends to educate professionals who can act as lawyers, judges or legal consultants. Moreover, the program follows a research-oriented approach in order to enable students to analyze and infer legal and judicial issues. Ph.D.
